William Beaumont Hospitals, in tandem with the new Oakland University School of Medicine, is seeking a new Chair of the Department of Radiology. The new Chair will lead and develop a substantially increased academic radiology department meeting the requirements of a medical school, AGCME based residency program and the radiology specialty programs of William Beaumont Hospital.
William Beaumont Hospital (Royal Oak), with 1061 beds, is consistently ranked as one of the top hospitals in 16 categories of the prestigious 2007 U.S. News & World Report "Best Hospitals" list. A nationally recognized leader of radiology is required for this position. Excellent leadership skills including high standards for quality and patient safety, excellent resident education practices and active research endeavors are required. Research, teaching and clinical care are required components of this program.
Candidates for this position will have prior administrative experience as a vice chair or residency program director in an academic and/or teaching hospital. Candidates must demonstrate program development and faculty recruitment abilities and possess collaborative leadership skills with the ability to engage and partner with physicians and administration in this complex and sophisticated enterprise. A track record in funded research, Board certification and a Michigan license are required. ID#30517DG.
